Did you guys have a method for taping movies? I only used MGM T-120s in SP mode, and I had to press record at the beginning of the studio logo, then stop at the bottom of the end credits. If I met this criteria, I would pop out the piece of plastic on the front of the tape so that it could never be recorded over again, then I would label the front with the title, writer, director, and year of the film, in as uniform a handwriting as possible. My bookshelves were immaculate. And if there were an Olympics for timing how long to hold pause during a commercial break, I would be a gold medalist.
