I hadn’t even thought of this song in ten years until it played on a Baton Rouge radio station over the weekend. It’s magisterial.

There are so many different parts that this song spills in and out of. Imagine Gary Glitter listened to “Happiness Is a Warm Gun” once, forgot most of it while watching the entire eighth season of The Simpsons, then tried to cover it. And imagine he was sort of successful. I just broke the metaphor machine.
